Organized Sessions
We plan to organize special sessions focused on specific topics. The list with titles, short descriptions as well as the organizers names and contacts are offered below.
If you would like to contribute a talk to any of the sessions, please e-mail the organizers at the address listed below.
You are also encouraged to submit your own sessions - 4 presentations are enough to create a session.
Abstract:This session focuses on presenting a wide range of
applications of mathematical tools in medical and biological sciences,
mainly related to tumour growth and treatment, neuroscience, ecology,
epidemiology and many others. Both analytical and numerical results are
welcome, as they are an essential element of research work. We hope that
our session will be a fruitful forum for discussion, exchange of ideas
and mutual inspiration.
Organizers: Agnieszka Bartłomiejczyk (Gdańsk University of Technology) agnieszka.bartlomiejczyk@pg.edu.pl
Urszula Foryś (University of Warsaw) urszula@mimuw.edu.pl
Zuzanna Szymańska (University of Warsaw) zk.szymanska@uw.edu.pl
Abstract:Traditions of mathematical teaching have certain common features, such as a strong
connection with mathematics and mathematicians, the key role of theory, the key role
of practical activities in learning and applications in various areas of science and life.
In this session, we will discuss these features and how mathematics education has
evolved.
Organizers: Anna Szpila (University of Rzeszow) aszpila@ur.edu.pl,
Renata Długosz (University of Technology of Lodz) renata.dlugosz@p.lodz.pl
Abstract: This session aim is to provide a platform for disscuss on complex analysis and
related fields, to exchange innovative ideas, methods, results, and discuss on recent
developments. The session topics cover a wide range of problems of one and
several variables of complex analysis and its various applications. Attendees will
have the opportunity to actively participate in discussions, connect with others in their
field, learn about the latest research and discoveries, and explore solutions to
ongoing challenges.
Organizers: Edyta Trybucka (University of Rzeszow) etrybucka@ur.edu.pl
Abstract: The session considers history of mathematics through a Polish lens. The session
topics is broad and includes topics such as the history of mathematics in Poland,
profiles and achievements of significant Polish mathematicians of mathematics with
emphasis to women in mathematics.
Organizers: Stanisław Domoradzki (University of Rzeszow) stanislawdomoradzki@gmail.com
Abstract: The purpose of the session is to give a chance to the junior researchers to present their work and receive feedback from other participants of the conference. In this session the Best Poster Award will be given.
Abstract: This session covers broad field of applications of mathematics in areas other than biology and medicine. All types of mathematical models are welcome.
