OUR MISSION
Impact on Education is the foundation supporting the 28,000 students and 4,000 educators of the Boulder Valley School District. Since 1983, we’ve provided supplemental funding and resources to students and educators in order to expand what’s possible in education.
Our mission is to support Boulder Valley public school students with community funding and resources in order to meet critical needs and eliminate opportunity gaps.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
Save the date: Academic Opportunity Fund grant review
We're looking for volunteers to review educator grants from the second round of the Academic Opportunity Fund, which will close in early January. Keep an eye out for more details as they become available!
Date: January 17 - 27, 2025
Location: Virtual and asynchronous
Requirements:
Must be able to commit to between 4-6 hours of reviewing (may take more or less time)
First time reviewers will need to complete an online, self-paced training
Cannot be a current BVSD student or educator

Save the date: Mock Interviews
We're looking for volunteers to help us with our Career Readiness Academy Mock Interviews. You will be conducting 3 mock interviews with 10th grader, provide feedback, and share insight with your small group. We're espeically looking for volunteers from a diverse set of backgrounds and careers. If you enjoy working with teenagers, providing connections and advice please mark your calendars. We will update this page as more information becomes available.
Date: March 4-6 2025
Time: TBD
Location: Broomfield High School, Centaurus High School, and Boulder High School
Requirements:
Cannot be a current BVSD student
Must attend a brief, online training
Bilingual Spanish volunteers are encouraged to volunteer

After attending a volunteer orientation, there are two things we need prospective volunteers to do:
Volunteer Expectations
As a volunteer you are a representative of our organization. Which is great because you can help share our work with the community! This also means we are counting on you to:
Be professional and courteous
Provide excellent customer service
Keep all donor, student, and grant information confidential
Be dependable, prompt, reliable, and communicative
REMEMBER
To present yourself as an IOE volunteer, not a staff member
If you can’t answer a question, that’s okay!
If you encounter someone angry/unhappy/disruptive, please refer them to an IOE staff member
