MOODLE FAQs

for Students

Welcome!

About this Guide

In this guide, we explain the basics of using and interacting with Moodle, the Learning Management System you'll be using during your time at Immaculata University. Whether you've never taken an online class before or you just need a refresher on some topics, this guide can help provide you with the guidance and information you need to maximize your online learning experience.

The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) covered in this guide are categorized into topics for easier navigation. Select the topic (above) that you want to review, then select which article you want to download. The articles in this guide, all of which are saved as PDF documents, will provide a direct response to a specific FAQ, but they’ll also include many of the related topics, issues, and background information you may need.

It is assumed that you will have a basic familiarity with computers and are able to navigate the Internet, create and read files using Microsoft Word or a comparable word processor, open and interact with PDF files, and access Immaculata University email and the MyIU web portal, among other basic tasks related to online learning. It is also assumed that you will have regular access to computers with a reliable internet connection. If you do not currently have this, please feel free to check out resources available on campus, such as the computers and printers available at Gabrielle Library.
