Study Skills Lessons

Our Purpose

This is a 9-week elective class that all 6th graders will participate in this school year.  The purpose of this class is to teach students the skills they need to be successful in their academic classes. To do this, we will be focusing on WICOR in this class. WICOR is a collection of academic and social strategies. It stands for Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. By taking part in WICOR activities, students learn and practice academic and social skills that will benefit them in school as well as other areas of their lives.
