All sixth graders will participate in this cross-curricular study :) We will meet on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:00 (a link will be sent to your emails). In “Fish Cheeks,” which is about a Chinese American girl who feels embarrassed by her family during dinner, Tan explores how culture can be essential to a person’s identity.

As you read, we will be exploring the themes of Friendship & Family, Growing Up, and Identity as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

Writing an epilogue for The Golden Goblet

An epilogue comes at the end of a novel. It carries the plot into the future of the story. It is where we learn what may have happened to the character(s).

Choose one of the following:

Gebu’s End:

The story leaves off with Gebu in the underground passage. He and Wenamon are trying to escape, but don’t. Write an epilogue about what happens from the point where the story left off to Gebu’s end. Include narration and dialogue.
