Brief Bio: Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar. I joined IIT Ropar in June 2019. Prior to joining IIT Ropar, I worked as an Associate Scientist (2015-2019) at Ames Laboratory (US Department of Energy) and was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Iowa State University.

I obtained my BTech degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Rourkela in 2004 and MTech degree from IIT Madras in 2006, working under the supervision of Prof. B.S. Murty and Prof. Kamanio Chattopadhyay in the area of Thermodynamic modeling of metallic glasses. Following my MTech, I went to Iowa State University for his doctoral research, working on High Temperature Materials, with Prof. Mufit Akinc and Prof. Matthew J. Kramer, and graduated in 2011. I did my post-doc research on high temperature ceramics and high-entropy alloys in Ames Lab (2011-2015).
