Brief Bio: Dr. Poonam Yadav received her integrated B.Tech-M.Tech degree in Nanotechnology, with expertise in waste-to-energy conversion. She completed her PhD at RMIT University, Australia, where her research focused on materials for energy storage and catalysis applications.
Following her PhD, she worked at Rechargion Energy Pvt. Ltd., Pune, contributing to battery research and development. From 2023 to 2025, she was an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, Düsseldorf, Germany, in the group of Dr. Baptiste Gault, where her work was based on the development of microscopy protocols and advanced analysis of battery materials using cryo-microscopy techniques.
Her current research interests include structural-property and failure analysis of materials for energy applications, with a focus on understanding degradation mechanisms to improve performance and reliability.
