Taking a long termist perspective to the future, where machines, humans and non-human animals can be imagined to coexist, requires asking what wisdom and sentience will mean in the years to come. Ease in availability of compute power and data has fueled the advancement of artificial intelligence and the design of increasingly complex learning algorithms to solve a growing range of social problems. One wonders, that future artificial entities may have features that we typically associate with “wisdom”, which in turn provides the foundation for thinking that not only will natural intelligence inspire artificial intelligence, but the vice-versa will probably be true as well.
This special session on “Where Natural Wisdom meets Artificial Wisdom” at PReMI_2023 aims to provide a platform for analyses and discussions on the convergence/co-existence of natural wisdom (irrespective of species) and "artificial wisdom", and their symbiosis (as Licklider had envisioned it) - between social scientists and computer scientists.
To contemplate on these issues and more, we solicit papers on, but not limited to, the following topics:
Affective computing in machines and nature
Brain inspired models of machine - intelligence, wisdom, emotions, morality, wisdom, curiosity, empathy, embodiment, social cognition, creativity, ethics, etc.
Cognitive age of machines and humans
Creativity in machines and humans
Curiosity in machines and nature
Embodiment in machines and nature
Empathy in machines and nature
Intelligence and/or wisdom in machines and nature
Morality in machines and nature
Neuroscience of - intelligence, wisdom, emotions, morality, intelligence, wisdom, curiosity, empathy, embodiment, social cognition, creativity, ethics, etc.
Social cognition in machines and nature
Submissions for the conference must be made online through EquinOCS following the submission link: https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/PReMI2023 under the special session track (the name of this special session may be mentioned as part of the submission as well)
