I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur), India. I earned my M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. My doctoral research focused on developing a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code based on the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) to study convective heat transfer problems.
My current research interests include computational fluid dynamics, lattice Boltzmann modeling, magneto-convection, and energy materials. In 2018, I moved to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, where I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering until 2023.
At IIT Jodhpur, my ongoing research focuses on the following themes:
Lattice Boltzmann simulation for Magnetohydrodynamics-based convection.
CFD for Enclosed flows.
Experimental as well as numerical study of thermal energy storage systems.
Development of aerogels for different applications.
Recieved International Research Mobility Grant (IMRG) for collaborative research to visit University New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, Australia, during May -July 2025.
Reciptant of SERB International Research Exposure (SIRE) fellowship to visit University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA, 2023
Honorary Regional Secretary, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, IIChE (2022-2023).
