Dr. Anshul Jain was born and brought up in Kota, Rajasthan, India. He embarked on his academic path with undergraduate and graduate studies in chemistry at the University of Kota. His quest for knowledge led him to join the esteemed research group of Dr. Nirmal Kumar Rana at IIT Jodhpur, where he completed his doctoral research in synthetic organic chemistry. His work focused on the intricate organocatalyzed and Brønsted base-catalyzed cascade synthesis of diverse heterocycles. After earning his doctorate, Dr. Jain advanced his research career as a fellow, delving into tandem synthesis using in situ-generated pyridinium ylide with the same research lab. His academic journey then took him to GLA University Mathura, where he served as an assistant professor, imparting knowledge to undergraduate students. At present, Dr. Jain is making significant strides in Dublin, Ireland, with Prof. Stephen Connon. His current research focuses on developing new ionic catalysts and their applications in asymmetric peptide coupling and plastic waste recycling.
