About Me

I have attained a Ph.D in Economics from the Department of Liberal Arts, at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. My research interests draw from open economy macroeconomics, international finance and time-series econometrics.

A significant space in my Ph.D. thesis is devoted to examining dynamics of current account imbalances in the case of India, through examining its ability and willingness to repay the debts. The overarching theme and message of my research are focused on arguing that deficits are not prima facie bad through understanding the sources of current account deficits as well as how they are financed, where the dynamics vary in country-specific cases.

In my leisure time, I write blog and media articles on contemporary economic issues. My other hobbies include basketball and football.
