Research Goal

Einstein's theory of general relativity describes the classical dynamics of gravity. Several experiments and observations have confirmed the predictions of general relativity, but there are possible scenarios where we expect that Einstein's theory will be modified. Our projects aim to study various such modifications of general relativity, and find theoretical as well as observational constraints. The theoretical constraint may arise from properties like the causality, positivity of the energy and validity of the laws of black hole mechanics etc. whereas the observational constraints are expected to come from the astrophysical phenomenon, e.g. gravitation waves.
