My research mainly focuses on the areas with an overarching theme of low-carbon concrete and concrete durability.
My research is mainly experiment-driven while also collaborating with thermodynamic and reactive transport modeling experts to answer fundamental questions related to novel binders’ chemistry and hydration and degradation mechanisms.

Our recent findings from the study - Evaluation of biochar as a potential additive in concrete to lower its carbon footprint - were presented at 18th NCB International Conference held in New Delhi (Received 'Special Merit Award' for this presentation) (Nov 2024)
An article is published in the "Cement and Concrete Composites" journal. In this article, findings on the effect of specific gravity and water absorption of SCMs on water demand are presented (2024)
