About Human-Machine Systems Research Group (HMS-RG)
The HMSRG of IIT Bhubaneswar primarily focuses on developing state-of-the-art technologies in the fields of Human-Computer Interface (HCI), visual surveillance, computer vision guided Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), sensor guided automation of healthcare services, designing of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI), Augmented Reality (AR) and various other inter-disciplinary areas aided by machine intelligence. With the advancement of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), we design newer applications in the above fields. Various research projects are running under this lab with active national and international collaborations. The lab welcomes highly motivated researches to collaborate / participate in joint research projects.
Interested students who are willing to work in any one of the aforementioned research areas can look for open positions in the lab.
The cohesiveness among the members of the lab makes it one of the best in the domain.
Vision:
Our vision is to advance the state-of-the-art HMS research with the help of AI and ML to make this world a better place for the living and non-living entities.
Objectives:
To create trained manpower in the above fields of study.
To develop smart and advanced technologies that can directly go into products for mankind, particularly in the domains of healthcare, education and industrial processes.
To foster collaborations with like-minded people with an open mind of collaborative research.
