Shouvik Roy Assistant Teaching Professor Illinois Institute of Technology
I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Illinois Institute of Technology.
I am interested in the design, analysis and verification of high performance AI-based controllers for intelligent systems. Topics that interest me include (but not limited to) Machine Learning, Intelligent Systems, Algorithms, Control Theory, Formal Methods and Cyber Physical Systems.
I obtained my PhD in Computer Science at Stony Brook University under the supervision of Scott A. Smolka and Scott D. Stoller. For my PhD, I worked on designing intelligent neural controllers for various multi-agent autonomous systems such as unmanned aerial vehicles and microgrids.
Prior to that, I completed my Masters in Computer Science at Jadavpur University, India where I worked on computational linguistics with applications to various NLP tasks such as machine translation, text summarization etc.
