Earth

Earth is the third planet of our solar system and the only known planet that supports life. The presentation starts with a few significant numbers related to Earth and also the various layers of the planet. The talk was mainly focused on the various possible reasons that may be responsible for life on Earth- like the presence of our planet in the Goldilocks zone of our sun due to which formation of liquid water is possible. Some other reasons like the dynamic core of Earth , presence of moon to stabilise the axial wobble, presence of ozone layer, stability of our sun and our location from the center of galaxy were also discussed during the talk. Formation of Auroras due to magnetic fields and the cause of the retrograde motion of planets as viewed from Earth were also talked about. The presentation ends with a caution about the way humans populated and polluted the planet.
