About Us:
The central theme of my present research is to develop the multifunctional nanomaterials (0D, 1D 2D) from different bioinspired routes and act as heterogeneous catalysis for various chemical, biological, and biomedical applications. Extensive structural, photo physical and chemical characterizations of the developed multifunctional nanomaterials and bioinspired nanomaterials are carried out with various microscopic and spectroscopic techniques. Electrochemical decomposition behaviors of pharmaceutically active compound (PhACs)-metal chelates and its impact on the mineralization efficiency and reduction of antimicrobial activity also gives new flavours in my present work. We are also targeting to produce hydrogen (H2) as green energy and different value-added chemicals by CO2 reduction by both photochemical and photoelectrochemical process. Here, we are using MOF, carbon dot and plasmon base photocatalysts for solar/UV-light driven pharmaceutical decomposition and energy production.
In addition to that I am also working on the synthesis and development of different Chemosensors to detect heavy metal ions and organic pollutant from aquatic environment.
