I look forward to connecting with you- please find my social media handles above!
Hello, I'm Sindhu! I'm a PhD student and a PMRF fellow at the Center for BioSystems Science and Engineering (BSSE) at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where I'm trying to understand epithelial tissues at EMBRG.
Previously I did an Integrated MSc in Biological Sciences from Birla Institute of Science and Technology (BITS), Pilani.
I'll be talking mainly about my research on this page, hoping to intrigue you on how epithelia can multitask- they act as barriers, can collectively migrate to close wounds and form organs, and can extrude out cancer cells. Besides research, I love running and reading.
I'm also sharing my science writing portfolio on this site, and some tidbits from my PhD journey.
I am available during working hours in the lab or BioEngineering student office for official communication/ to schedule meetings if necessary. Otherwise, please email my official ID- msindhu@iisc.ac.in .
While I welcome communication at any time via any mode, I may not always be able to (and am not liable to) respond promptly to official work-queries on unofficial communication platforms or outside of working hours or during personal leave- thanks for your understanding. I respect personal boundaries and avoid initiating work-related communication on personal platforms such as WhatsApp. The best way to reach me would be through official modes of communication, as stated above.
