Qualitative Research Workshop (February 24th to 27th)
The Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong (IIPHS) was founded in 2014 through a collaboration between the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and the Government of Meghalaya, with the aim of establishing a regional hub for public health initiatives. Its inception sought to address the dearth of institutional and systemic capacity in public health within the northeastern region of India. The primary objectives of the Society encompass the promotion of health and well-being across all communities, with a particular focus on tribal populations and marginalised groups. The mission of IIPH Shillong is to advance equitable health and wellbeing by fostering a culture of excellence in education, research and praxis while challenging existing paradigms through policy and advocacy. IIPH Shillong is committed to delivering education, enhancing capacities, and facilitating the implementation of cost-effective healthcare delivery systems specifically tailored to the needs of the Northeastern region.
