There are assumptions that a hostel room can only be a room with minimum facilities and/or a flat system room. But there are 3 main types of room exists in hostel room category itself. They do have minimum facilities but the type changes according to the floor space, shape of the room, amenities provided, etc. Let us see these room types in detail with some examples below it.
1. Dorm Rooms:
The most common room type in any hostel is the dorm room. You can find it in almost every hostel. These start with a minimum of 3 beds per room and the number of beds can be more than that also. These are usually cost-efficient rooms as more the number of beds per room lower the price. Hence, they are perfect for a big group of friends. Within dorm rooms, we can find some variants also. They are mentioned below:
a. Female dorm: These are as the name suggests only for female travelers. They are mainly more spacious than normal dorms with some space for sitting and having a long gossip with your bffs.
b. Dorm without bunk beds: These dorms contain single beds instead of bunk beds. They are costlier than bunk bed dorms.
c. Pod-styled dorms: Started in Japan, now getting popularity n whole world, they are space efficient with better privacy and have separate charging points. Some places even have great views from these dorms.
2. Private hostel room types:
These are regular flat type rooms with high level of privacy. Perfect for couples and little high on the prices. They are highly spacious and cozy rooms. We can consider some of these rooms to be better than the 5-star hotel rooms also. Some of the private hostel room types are as follows:
a. Single private: Straightforward explanation of this room is single separate room with one bed only.
