I am working as an assistant professor at the Goa Institute of Management in the general management and public policy area. I did my PhD from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. My research interests span spatial economics, applied spatial econometrics, environmental economics, resource economics, productivity and efficiency analysis, climate change and agricultural economics. In my doctoral dissertation, I explored the impact evaluation of policies through the use of earth observation data from various satellites. The increasing availability of such data in the public domain opens new avenues for economic research, particularly in impact evaluation, climate change, and sustainability studies. I demonstrated how earth observation data can be leveraged with economics to assess policies in a cost-effective manner and address research questions that otherwise remain unanswered in the absence of on-ground survey data.
