About Tech-Trends Symposium

C-DAC and IIIT Delhi are jointly organising a TechTrends symposium to explore the technologies, systems and subsystems (including software stack, error correction etc.) that make quantum computers' building blocks. The TechTrends symposium aims to bring together all the players both Indian and global in the quantum computing ecosystem together on a single platform and look at various factors which would lead to sustainability and accelerate engineering advancements in the associated state-of-the-art technologies.

Throughout the workshop, participants will embark on an enlightening journey, exploring a wide range of topics essential for a profound understanding of quantum accelerated computing. The objectives of this symposium are:

Focus Areas

The TechTrends symposium duration will feature a variety of talks and lecture sessions on the following focus areas (but not limited to) :

Organizing Partners

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas. As a scientific society, C-DAC has been continuously engaged for over three and a half decades, towards the design, development and deployment of electronics and advanced Information Technology (IT) products and solutions for the benefit of the society. C-DAC's thrust in meeting the national agenda has manifest itself in the execution of several key projects, leading to the creation of a strong brand equity for its inherent expertise and capabilities, in the global context. Presently, this expertise extends to the field of High Performance Computing (HPC) fueling various scientific, engineering and business applications. Fostering an environment of innovation and dealing with cutting edge technologies. C-DAC is actively engaged in indigenous R&D of HPC components (processor, server board, interconnect, cluster and cooling systems), HPC system software, HPC applications, solutions and services, grid computing, cloud computing, big data analytics and Quantum computing.

C-DAC has been at the forefront of quantum computing research and development in India, driving innovation across multiple domains. Its quantum computing activities encompass a range of projects aimed at advancing quantum technologies for national and global applications. Key initiatives include QSim, a cloud-based quantum simulation platform used by researchers, which supports the development and testing of quantum algorithms. Under Centre of Excellence in Quantum Technologies, a control electronics system has been developed by C-DAC to enhance quantum processing capabilities. C-DAC is working towards hybrid architectures integrating quantum and classical high-performance computing (HPC) systems enabling hybrid Quantum applications.

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD)

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) was created by an act of Delhi legislature empowering it to carry out R&D, conduct educational programs, and grant degrees. The General Council is the apex body of the Institute, chaired by Hon'ble Lt. Governor of Delhi and the Board of Governors is the policy and decision-making body of the Institute. The Senate is empowered to take all academic decisions. IIIT-Delhi is accelerating on the path of becoming one of the leading comprehensive research-led teaching institutes in India and has proven to be consistently responsive towards the evolving needs of society. The faculty members at IIIT-Delhi are among the finest in the country and are internationally recognized. Carrying out cutting-edge research is in the institutional DNA of IIIT-Delhi.

The Center for Quantum Technologies (CQT), IIIT Delhi aims to become India's leading hub for advancing and sharing knowledge in quantum technologies. Its mission is to drive interdisciplinary research and development in quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum materials and devices, focusing on creating affordable solutions that address specific needs and opportunities within India. The center is dedicated to developing a highly skilled workforce at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels to propel the advancement of quantum technologies in the country.
