I am currently serving as Director, Data Science, at AI Garage, Mastercard; where I lead a team of around 20 data scientists who focus on developing AI/ML algorithms for the financial domain for developing robust real-time products. My research interests are machine learning and deep learning with applications to sequential data modelling for the financial domain and biometrics. As part of my role at Mastercard, I have worked on identifying research streams in line with business needs resulting in patents, publications, and innovations across products. I am the recipient of the Women in AI award in Finance (APAC region), 2023, the IEEE Best Doctoral Dissertation Award, 2022, and am also serving as the Women in Engineering co-ordinator for the IEEE Biometrics Council. I was also one of the top 200 researchers selected globally for the Heidelberg Laureate Forum, 2022 as a young professional in the industry (in Mathematics and Computer Science). Prior to this, I have done my PhD from IIIT-Delhi, with Prof. Richa Singh, and Prof. Mayank Vatsa. My research interests include Sequential Modelling, Face Recognition, and Machine Learning,.
