Efficient Wastewater Remediation and Sustained Drug Delivery
I am currently a doctoral candidate at the Department of Applied Sciences, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, and submitted my PhD thesis in August 2023. My doctoral dissertation was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Amaresh Kumar Sahoo, where I worked on the development of self-propelling catalytic and magnetic microbots. These microbots were developed from biodegradable precursors such as carbon dots from domestic organic waste, potato peel and iron oxide nanoparticles. Further, the developed microbots were used for environmental remediation such as toxic industrial dye and pesticide removal from polluted water. Moreover, the bots were modified with gold nanocluster for their application in healthcare purposes such as sustained and prolonged insulin delivery in diabetic individuals. I have published papers and news articles on these studies.
