About:
The skill development workshop on Earth Observation Data and AI for Disaster Science (EODAIDS) is of great importance in addressing the growing challenges posed by natural and human-induced disasters. With the increasing availability of satellite and sensor data, Earth observation technologies offer critical insights into monitoring and managing disasters such as floods, cyclones, wildfires, and earthquakes. Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) enables rapid analysis and predictive modeling, empowering decision-makers with accurate and actionable information in real-time. This workshop not only equips participants with hands-on skills to harness cutting-edge tools and techniques but also fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to innovate solutions for disaster risk reduction and resilience building. By bridging the gap between technology and disaster science, EODAIDS plays a pivotal role in preparing the next generation of researchers and practitioners to mitigate the impact of disasters on society and the environment.
