On the basis of the recommendations of the Expert Evaluation Committee and approval of the Competent Authority the result of the Student Innovation Award 2020 is as given below :

The Student Innovation Award-2020 will be given to the awardees in a virtual function to be held soon.

About Student Innovation Award-2020

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been promoting creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship among its students. In view of the announcement of the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission by the Government of India, it becomes all the more important to identify, recognise and support innovator and entrepreneur students of IGNOU. In this context, for the last two years, IGNOU has been awarding its innovator students with the Student Innovation Award on the Foundation day of the university.

Under this scheme, entries are invited from IGNOU students for Student Innovation Award-2020.

Guidelines for Submitting Entries for ‘Student Innovation Award-2020’

Who is Eligible to Participate?

Any bonafide and registered student of IGNOU who has developed and implemented an innovative product, process or services as a solution to the problem/challenge being faced by individuals or society in any area, preferably from the given theme areas, is eligible to submit application for the ‘Student Innovation Award-2020’ in the prescribed format.

Why Should You Participate?

If you have done any innovation in any field, it will be recognized nationally. In addition to it, the selected best three innovators:

  • Will get the Student Innovation Award-2020 with Certificates and Trophies.

  • Will get cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs, 7,000 and Rs. 5,000, respectively.

  • May be invited to receive the award at IGNOU Headquarters at Delhi, if the Covid-19 situation permits.

  • Will be provided travelling expenses and stay at IGNOU, in case they come to receive the award.

  • Will get an opportunity to interact with other innovators and learn from their experience.

How to Apply?

  1. Those who are interested in applying may submit the filled-in Proforma duly typed in MS Word along with the supporting documents through e-mail at ncide@ignou.ac.in by November 05, 2020.

  2. You should enclose a 5-10 minutes video clip on the development and working of your innovation.

  3. Enclose the relevant photographs pertaining to your innovation.

  4. The Application Form can be downloaded from here. The application form should be properly typed in MS word.

Important Points to be Noted

  1. Applications will be received only through email. No hard copy and handwritten or scanned copy will be entertained.

  2. University’s decision will be final and binding regarding the selection of the Student Innovation Award-2020.

  3. Simple submission of application for the award will not entitle the candidates for any kind of certificate or other documents from the university.
