3 Man Break

Directions:

1. Three players line up in the lane and "circle up."

2. Coach shoots the ball 

3. The player closest to the ball grabs the rebound (#1) 

4. The two other players get to an outlet spot (#2 and #3) 

5. The ball is thrown to an outlet (#1 to #3) 

6. Opposite outlet streaks down the court (#2) 

7. Outlet man passes to the runner for a lay-up (#3 to #2) 

8. The two other players trail the play 

Other Teaching Points:

• Once you have this down, you can have them go down the court and come back 

• Outlets should be around hash mark, players running the break need to run wide

• Maintain proper floor spacing throughout

• Advance the ball with a pass instead of the dribble if at all possible
