There are four offensive players on the outside of the lane, forming a box in their alignment
There are two defenders inside of that box alignment
One player has the ball and he is trapped by the two defenders
The player with the ball has two dribbles, if needed, and needs to make a successful pass to any of the other three offensive players on the court
If the ball is stolen, it is returned to the passer and the drill begins again
Once the pass is completed, the passer and one of the trappers follows that pass and traps the ball (generally, each trapper should trap the ball twice before rotating from defense to offense)
Once a player is done trapping (after two traps), they fill the vacated spot left by the passer
This drill continues for a set period of time
Trap with high, active hands and approach the ball handler in the line of the pass
Fake a pass to make a pass
Use your dribble only to relieve pressure or improve your passing angle
Bring the trap low to pass high
