3 on 3 Reading Screens

Directions:

1. Three offensive players and three guys guarding them

2. #1 passes to #3

3. #1 sets a down screen for #2

4. The defense either goes over the top (tight cut), under (fade cut), switch (slip), or deny (back cut)

5. Offensive players make the read accordingly

6. Make sure screener second cuts, i.e., pop (tight cut), dive (fade cut), pop (slip), or pop (back cut)

7. Play live if there is a scoring opportunity

• Work on this from different spots on the floor

• Work on different screen actions (i.e. flare screens, down screens, nail screens, etc.)
