2 on 1 Screen Reads

Directions:

1. There are three lines of players - a screening line, a cutting line, and a defense line

2. #1 passes the ball to the coach and screens away for #2

3. x2 decides how to guard the cutter by either going over the top or underneath the screen

4. #2 reads the defense and makes the appropriate cut

5. #1 becomes a second cutter

6. Coach passes to either offensive player for a shot

Other Teaching Points:

• Complete this drill on both sides of the floor

• Focus on screen technique and correct screen reads

• Work on different screens from different locations. Teach the proper read of each screen situation.
