Shell Perfection

Directions:

1. Play 5 on 5 in the half court setting 

2. You can only score points on the defensive end

• Example of scoring system: +1 for a stop, +3 for a charge, +5 for a turkey (3 stops in a row)

3. The coach should monitor every defensive coverage and positioning. If a player is out of position, does not speak on a coverage, or does anything else wrong the coach blows their whistle and their team ends the defensive possession (offense now rotates to defense)

4. Feel free to focus on defending certain actions to start each possession

• Rotate on the air-time of the ball

• Communicate all of your defensive actions

• Know your defensive coverages
