Shamrock Post Drill

Directions:

1. There are two post players with two defenders

2. There are also four feeders on the perimeter who are not guarded

3. When the ball is with #1 or #2, defensive denies up the lane line

4. When the ball goes to the wings:

   1. Step through

   2. 3/4 deny

5. If the ball is entered into the post, slide behind and take away the baseline shoulder

Other Teaching Points:

• Rotate on the air-time of the ball - be there on the catch

• Maintain proper defensive positioning

• Communication is key!

• Defense is not in a zone, but they are helping on the players who are unguarded
