Pappas Denial

Directions:

1.  A coach starts with the ball at the top of the key

2. There is one offensive player and one defender on the wing

3. The defense begins in gap protection

4. When the coach prompts, the cutter cuts hard to the basket and then back to the perimeter

5. The defense (x1) meets the cutter, denies him while he's inside the 3 point line, and jumps back to gap protection when he cuts outside of the 3 point line

• Rotate on the airtime of the ball

• Defense must keep their head on a swivel when denying the pass

• Variation: You can make this competitive by awarding points for completing passes and having the cutter move for a set period of time
