3 on 1 Post Defense

Directions:

1. x5 is guarding #5 in the post

2. #1 starts with the ball and x5 is at the helpline

3. #1 passes to #2, x5 denies the post up the lane line

4. #2 passes to #3, x5 moves into 3/4 deny the post defense

5. #3 passes to #5, x5 slides behind and walls up on the ball

Other Teaching Points:

• Rotate on the air-time of the ball

• Communicate all of your defensive actions

• Our default post defense is 3/4 slide behind, but feel free to adjust the drill based on any changes or adjustments to this base coverage
