Players break up into groups of three and spread out across the floor
Each group has one basketball
In their groups, there are two offensive players and one defensive player
Players with the ball work on different ball handling/pressure release scenarios dictated by the coach with the defender playing a role in that situation
Once a pass is made, the passer follows his pass and now is on defense while the original defender rotates to offense
Pressure Scenarios:
Dead ball pressure - offense rips and sweeps the ball before passing
Dead ball pressure - offense uses a rocker step to gain separation
On ball pressure with the dribble still alive - offense uses the square-up dribble before blowing by the defense for two more dribbles and then passing
On ball pressure with the dribble still alive - offense uses the retreat dribble
Drop coverage pressure - offense drives at the defense and once contact is made the offense makes a dribble move
Etc.
Do this drill for a set period of time
Work on ball handling and relieving pressure as the ball handler
