Offense is in an 2-1-2 alignment
When the ball gets passed guard to guard (#1 to #2), the rest of the players on the floor shift
#4 works the middle, following the ball
The wings (#5 and #3) work the "pulley system" - when the ball is opposite of you dive to the post and when the ball is on your side lift to the wing
If the ball is passed to the wing, #4 dives and the opposite wing flashes to the high post
If the ball is passed to #4 in the low post, the high post man dives to the rim
Look deep diagonal for a lay-up (i.e. #2 passes to #3 who is at the block)
Guard and wings penetrate the gaps making plays
#4 receives a pass in the middle - they should look to the rim and then look to the opposite perimeter
Spread Flash can be ran in the full court or half court settings
It is most effective against odd-front zones (i.e. 1-2-2, 1-3-1, 3-2)
Perimeter players should spot up in the gaps
Utilize pass fakes as much as possible
See inside, behind, and through the zone
#4 can stay low vs. the zone, posting up the "tail" of the 1-3-1
#4 can set ball screens on the middle or point of the zone
