Travel tip

This tip is refering to transportation. If you want to make a route through Mexico, more or less like ours, it is best to consider entering through Mexico city and leaving through Cancun, allowing us to be able to make a route in straight line, without having to return to the starting point, earning a lot of time.

Travel fares

The price of the flight from Madrid to Cancun (one of the most representative cities of Mexico) would be around 500 to 600 euros the going depending on the flight airline and the return between from 600 to 900 euros, depending on the chosen airline.

Accommodation

The best place to be is the Zócalo Central hotel, located on Avenida 5 de Mayo 61, in the Historic Center of Mexico City.

Travel insurance

Do I need travel insurance for Mexico?

Yes, altough it is not mandatory, it is advisable to have travel insurance if you are visiting Mexico.

You do not have the right to receive free medical care in Mexico, so if you are sick or injured and need a doctor, you must pay for it out of your own pocket. However, if you have insurance, your medical costs will generally be covered, and you may also be transferred home to continue treatment in your country.

Many people travel to Mexico every year and, altough most visits are smooth, tourists have been victims of crime in the past.

Expenses

There are options for all pockets and the most economical ones are not bad if you are careful in your search. That if you are going to have to do without a private room and get used to eating things like sandwichs.
