Welcome everyone to ZOOM, the webpage for the 1st Bachillerato Scientific Culture subject in the I.E.S. El Picarral (Zaragoza, Spain). We will be using this webpage to centralize all the activities and materials for the subject.

Most of the time, we will be learning by applying our knowledge to solve different scientific problems. In many cases, we will be using real scientific data and aplying the steps of the scientific method to understand different problems, from ocean dynamic to molecular genetics or nanosciences.

To think as a scientist. To be skeptical and critical. To evaluate different types of data and formulate hypotheses. To be a valuable part of a team. To obtain and present your conclusions. To identify more clearly the thing that you do not completely understand. To better understand written and spoken scientific information in English and to better express ourselves in English.

But, mainly, we will learn that good questions are usually more powerful than any answer.
