The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was established in the year 2015 with an annual student intake of 60 in B.Tech. (EEE) course. Presently, the department offers a 4- year undergraduate program leading to B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. The department has experienced faculty and excellent infrastructural facilities in terms of laboratories, space and computer systems. The department promotes research and development in thrust areas like Power System Optimization, Analog and Digital Communications, Electronic design, Smart Grid, IOT, Control systems, Renewable energy, Microprocessors and Micro-controllers etc (Click here) .

The department has many laboratories viz. Electrical Machines lab, Networks & Measurements lab, Control systems lab, Logic design and Microprocessors lab, Power System lab, Simulation lab, Communication Lab, VLSI lab, etc., with state-of-art facilities for student practical training and research work.

The student chapters of IEEE, ACM and the IET, conducts various programs like seminars, hands on workshops, distinguished lectures, model GATE examinations etc., for excellence in academics and other co-curricular activities. An alumni cell looks after the interaction with the old students of this department in the form of trimentoring.

Students and staff of this department achieve several distinctions every year in terms of results and placements. Many graduating students get admissions in IISc, IITs, IIMs and other premier institutions around the world for their post graduate studies.
