The Spirit of Terry Fox Charity Run
Friday, 13 October 11:30 AM-12:30 PM (after early dismissal)
"Even if I don't finish, we need others to continue. It's got to keep going without me." Terry Fox
Everyone of all ages is invited to take part in this 6th annual charity run! Hosted by ICS, and in association with the Canadian Embassy and the Mathiwos Wondu YeEthiopa Cancer Society, all monies raised go towards supporting paediatric cancer in Ethiopia. All participants are asked to make a donation as a way of raising funds. This year's fun run will take place on the ICS Track, October 13th, directly after the 11:30am early dismissal. Joining us will be some of Ethiopia's top runners! Food and drink will also be available immediately following the event.
This run is in remembrance of Terry Fox, an 18-year-old Canadian who in 1980 with one leg having been amputated, embarked on an east to west cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Today, Terry Fox runs take place annually all over the world.
Our Middle School Student Council (MS-STUCO) will support by selling T-shirts and food at the run. They will also collect donations from participants.
Let's make this the best run ever!

Take Care Campus Program
We are launching a new Take Care Campus Program at ICS. As part of the ICS Way, “taking care of this place” is a key attribute that we instill in our students and employees, and now we are asking parents to participate.
The new Take Care Program will strategically place collection carts around campus. All employees, students and parents will be required to bring any and all dishes, cups, glasses, silverware to a collection cart. Each cart will have a garbage bag attached for garbage and unused/unwanted food items and bins for plates, silverware, glasses/mugs.
Collection Carts will be serviced 4 times a day. Collection carts will be located in the following areas:
- Community Commons
- M Building ground floor
- Health Office
Thank you all for your support of and participation in the Take Care Campus Program. Together we can ensure that our campus remains a clean green space.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to early dismissal - there will be NO buffet lunch on Tuesday 26 Sept. Pre-order requests will be accommodated.
Addis International Catering (AIC) is our cafeteria provider. AIC will provide students, faculty, staff, parents and visitors with a balanced and attractive variety of safe, tasty, healthy and nutritional meals and snacks. Click HERE for cafeteria menu.
