Parent Expertise Volunteer Form:

One of the best resources that we have as a community is you. Our students benefit greatly from your range of language and cultural diversity, expertise, and encouragement.  Middle School and High School students have particular needs for local business, factory, and farm owners for potential field trips as well as expertise for their PLEx projects.  High School PLEx is a four-week program that gives students the opportunity to dive into something they're curious about. Throughout these four weeks, teachers and experts will be hosting a variety of workshops to help guide their PLEx journey. We're looking for members of the ICS community and beyond to lead workshops on a variety of topics and/or stories that will inspire our students. If you have a story to tell or a skill you can share, please let us know and become a PLEx-pert!.

Please take a moment to review the updated ICS PTO Parent Expert/Volunteer Form  and consider being a volunteer.

Great Opportunities for parents to get involved with ICS learning this spring:

●     The Burn Care service club would like to visit the Cure Hospital every other Wednesday after school and it is looking for parents to be chaperones. ICS will provide transportation. The bus would leave ICS at 2:15pm and would return to ICS at 4:30pm.  In order to be a chaperone, you must have already attended the Child Safety Training conducted by Krista Haley. If you are interested in being a chaperone for this student group, please email PTOLiaison@icsaddis.org.

●     The High School PLEx program is looking for parent volunteers to participate in workshops, be guest speakers.

The Middle School is in search of parents who own/work at or have a connection to a farm or factory for a field trip at the end of May.  If you are interested and able to help out with this field trip, please email PTOLIaison@icsaddis.org.

ICS PTO Running Group:

Planning your next half marathon, or keen to build up your running fitness? This is an opportunity for you. We offer two training sessions each week:

 *Intermediate and advance group*

To make sure all runners will have fun and because not everyone has the same pace there will be 2 groups:

Both groups will be coached by experienced Ethiopian runners. Abraham will coach the intermediate group and Eyasu will coach the advanced group. The price per training is 200 birr ( paid directly to the coach).

Show up and run because running with others is fun.
