The ICS behaviour code separates behaviour into 4 main categories: disruptive behaviour; lateness; missing equipment and unauthorised items; work not submitted on time.
For disruptive behaviour, teachers can employ some discretion. They could, for less serious low-level disruption, issue a verbal warning first, and only log the behaviour on iSAMS if it persists. Once logged on iSAMS for disruptive behaviour, the student can expect a detention with a member of the Behaviour team.
For the other 3 categories, students get one first chance per term, which applies across the entire school. A second iSAMS entry for that category, and any subsequent entries, will result in a detention. Teachers should log all instances of these behaviours on iSAMS and then let the Behaviour team apply appropriate sanctions.
Remember: if it isn't on iSAMS, it didn't happen!
