Topic 5.3 - Outreach: Social media

Introduction: Using new technology and social media has become commonplace in our modern world. Yet, its availability for seafarers and the use of it for seafarers’ welfare is not necessarily easy. This lesson will survey how seafarers use new technology and social media for communication and also speak to how we might help them communicate and communicate with them. The lesson will conclude with ideas on best practice on using social media as a team.
