IAPS offers several awards for its members practicing pediatric surgery ranging from post graduate to senior surgeon level. These awards aim at recognising professional excellence and commitment of its members towards the art and science of Pediatric Surgery.

Fellowship of Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons

Purushottam Upadhayaya Award

The Award is given to a pediatric surgeon of Indian origin below the age of 45 yr for the best research paper published in one of the recognized journals during the preceding year (1st January to 31 December).

IAPS TRAVEL FELLOWSHIPS

IAPS - ANNA MALAI UNIVERSITY TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP

Eligibility:

a) Pediatric Surgeon (IAPS member) with MCh or other equivalent degree

b) Candidate must be working in a non-teaching institution or rural area for more than 5 years from the date of the qualifying exam. Must have proven his efficiency by outstanding academic record, publication, paper presentation in conferences, outstanding social service to surgically ill children in rural areas

c) Award Carries a Citation and a grant

IAPS - ETHICON TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP

Eligibility :

a) IAPS Member with at least 10 years standing in Pediatric Surgery with interest in academics & research

b) Providing an opportunity for a Pediatric Surgeon to visit another center in India for an exchange visit for 2 weeks

c) Award Carries a Citation and a grant of Rs. 15,000/-

IAPS - KARL STORZ TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP

a) IAPS Member with at least 10 years standing in Pediatric Surgery with interest in academics & research

b) Providing an opportunity for a Pediatric Surgeon to visit a center of excellence in India or abroad and to obtain specialized training in Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery for a period of 2 weeks

c) Award carries a Citation and a grant of Rs. 25,000/-

IAPS - SHANTI TALWAR FELLOWSHIP AWARD

a) IAPS Member Below 40 Years

b) Preference will be given to those working in remote areas with limited facilities so as to obtain further exposure in the current management of Pediatric Surgical Problems including neonatal surgery

c) Award carries a Citation and a grant

IAPS Scholarships

CeMast Scholarship

Centre for Excellence in Minimal Access Surgery & Training (ceMAST), established in Mumbai through an educational grant by Karl Storz offers one scholarship every year for an eligible member of IAPS. The registration will be waived off for the Comprehensive Pediatric Minimal Access Pediatric Surgery Course (Basic) scheduled in the year

JIVDAYA SCHOLARSHIP FOR PEDIATRIC SURGICAL ONCOLOGY TRAINING

The goal of this scholarship is to assist pediatric surgeons to become skilled in the principles guiding management decisions and providing comprehensive training on all aspects of management of pediatric solid tumors.
