TIMELINE OF ELECTION PROCESS IN DESCRIBED BELOW
The various positions for which elections are being held are listed below:
1. President Elect IAPS
2. Editor in Chief Journal of IAPS
3. PESI-IAPS : Chairman Elect, Secretary, Executive Committee Members (Total of 5, one from each ;zone, north, south, east, west and central)
4. SPU-IAPS : Chairman Elect, Secretary, Executive Committee Members (Total of 5 , one from each zone; north, south, east, west and central)
5. SOS-IAPS : Chairman Elect, Secretary, Executive Committee Members (Total of 5 , one from each zone; north, south, east, west and central)
Application Fees
IAPS – President Elect – 5000 INR
Editor in Chief JIAPS – 5000 INR
For PESI, SPU and SOS :
Chairman Elect – 5000 INR
Secretary - 3000 INR, EC Member – 3000 INR

Kindly note the eligibility criteria for candidates seeking to contest for the above posts is as mentioned below :
1. President Elect IAPS
3.3.2.1 Members of not less than 15 years standing in the Association may be nominated for the post of President. He/she must have been member of EC at least for one full term at the time of submission of candidature
2. Editor in Chief, Journal of IAPS
3.3.2.4 Editor in chief: should be a member of IAPS for not less than 15 years, should have been on editorial board of any Journal for not less than 5 years.
3. Chairman Elect of PESI, SPU, SOS
Member of the sub-section for not less than 10 years standing in the respective sub-section and who has also been an EC member of the sub-section for at least one term can be nominated for Chairman Elect.
4. Secretary of PESI, SPU, SOS
Member of the sub-section for not less than 5 years standing in the respective sub-section and who has also been an EC member of the sub-section for at least one term can be nominated for Secretary.
5. Executive Committee Member of PESI, SPU, SOS
Member of the sub-section for not less than 5 years standing in the respective sub-section can be nominated for Executive Committee Member.
A decision was also passed in the GBM in 2021 to complete the election process and announce results well in advance of the Annual Conference. Hence, the timetable for the election has changed this year. Please note the dates carefully – it is the responsibility of the prospective candidates to stick to the timetable.
