When using these streaming services in class, they work best either from the browser on your smartboard, or if your laptop is directly plugged-in. They do not work well over airplay.

Browse the catalog for movies
Licensed Content - These are films that we already have an active license to stream. You can watch or share them immediately
Swank Catalog - These are titles that can be added to our license. Each title you want to add needs to be requested, and usually takes at least 24 hours to be made available.
**Only faculty have access to the full catalog of movies. Students can only access specific titles that are shared with them via link.
Requesting titles:
If a title you want to show is not currently part of our licensed collection, you can request to have it added. To request a title:
Click "Request"
Fill out the short form
Send Lauren an email (l.garber@hwschools.net) letting her know you submitted a request. (I have notifications set up, but they're not always the most reliable)
Titles generally become available within 24-48 hours. You will receive an email when your requested title is available to watch.
Showing films:
There are two ways you can share a film using Swank: projecting the film and sharing a link for students to watch independently.
For projecting the film in your classroom: You can play the movie directly from the Swank browser on your Smartboard, or your computer must be hard-wired to the board; the movies will not play over AirPlay.
For sharing links with students to watch independently: Click the "Share: Copy Link" button and then post to students. Students will then have access to that specific film and can watch from anywhere. They will have to log in with their school Google accounts to watch.
