We are thrilled to announce that our Year 6 pupils will be attending a four-night residential trip to Llangrannog from 15th to 19th June 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to enjoy outdoor adventures, develop independence, and strengthen friendships as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.
Llangrannog is a well-known outdoor activity centre located on the beautiful Welsh coast. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, the centre offers a variety of exciting activities designed to challenge and engage children in a safe and supportive environment. The trip will provide pupils with the chance to take part in a wide range of adventure activities, build new skills, and create lasting memories.
While at Llangrannog, pupils will participate in a variety of outdoor and team-building activities, including:
Climbing: Pupils will have the opportunity to test their strength and courage while climbing indoor and outdoor walls.
Abseiling: A thrilling activity that helps pupils build confidence and learn to face their fears.
Canoeing: A fun and challenging water-based activity that promotes teamwork and coordination.
Zip Line: For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the zip line offers a fantastic aerial view of the stunning surrounding landscape.
High Ropes Course: An exciting challenge that encourages pupils to push their limits while navigating obstacles at height.
Problem-Solving Activities: Pupils will work together to solve challenges, developing communication, cooperation, and leadership skills.
Orienteering: Using maps and compasses, pupils will explore the area, learning valuable navigation skills.
Campfire: A fun and relaxing evening activity where pupils can enjoy storytelling, songs, and bonding time with their friends.
The residential trip to Llangrannog provides much more than just adventure activities:

Safety and Support: All activities are supervised by experienced instructors, and the trip is fully supported by our staff to ensure that pupils are safe, happy, and well cared for throughout their time away.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip, please make sure your child brings the following items:
Clothing for Outdoor Activities: Weather-appropriate gear, including waterproofs, warm clothing, and comfortable footwear.
Spare Clothes: Plenty of spare clothes, including socks and underwear.
Swimming Kit: If applicable, please bring a swimming costume and towel.
Toiletries: Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.
Personal Medication: If your child requires any medication, please ensure it is clearly labeled and handed over to staff before departure.
Comfort Items: A small comfort item like a teddy bear or blanket for bedtime.
Departure Date: Pupils will leave school on 16th June.
Return Date: Pupils will return to school on 20th June . You will be notified of any changes to the return time.
Meals: All meals are provided during the trip, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If your child has any dietary requirements, please inform us in advance.
Medical Forms: Please ensure that all medical and permission forms are completed and returned.
