Beth fydda i’n ei ddysgu?
Mae’r dyfarniad Lefel 1 / 2 mewn Twristiaeth yn cynnig cyflwyniad i ti i un o sectorau cyflogaeth pwysicaf a mwyaf deinamig Prydain. Twristiaeth yw’r pumed diwydiant mwyaf ym Mhrydain, sy’n cefnogi 3 miliwn o swyddi. Mae gweithgareddau’r diwydiant twristiaeth yn bwysig iawn yn ein hardal ni, y rhanbarth a’r wlad. Yng Nghaerdydd ei hunan mae digon o gyfleoedd ar gyfer profiadau twristiaeth yn amrywio o Fae Caerdydd i’r Amgueddfa Genedlaethol a Sain Ffagan. Byddi di’n cael y cyfle i archwilio gwahanol agweddau o’r diwydiant twristiaeth mewn nifer o gyd-destunau.
Sut fydda i’n dysgu?
Byddi di’n dysgu y tu fewn a thu allan i’r ystafell dosbarth. Mae strwythur y cwrs wedi ei seilio ar sefydliadau twristiaeth go iawn. Bydd ymweliadau â’r sefydliadau gwahanol yn rhan hanfodol o’r cwrs. Byddi di’n datblygu ystod o sgiliau ymarferol ac academaidd a fydd yn dy helpu di i symud ymlaen i astudiaethau pellach neu i ymuno â’r gweithle. Bydd yr adnoddau ar gyfer Dyfarniad Lefel 1/2 Twristiaeth i gyd ar gael ar dy iPad a byddi di’n creu nodiadau yn dy unedau gwaith. Bydd gwaith cartref cyson er mwyn gwella dy ddealltwriaeth o’r pwnc ac i atgyfnerthu’r hyn a wneir yn y gwersi. Byddi di’n astudio tair uned: Profiad y Cwsmer, y Busnes o Deithio, a Datblygu’r Deyrnas Unedig fel cyrchfan.

What will I learn?
The Tourism Level 1 / 2 Award course offers you an introduction to one of the most important and dynamic employment sectors in the UK. Tourism is the fifth largest industry in the UK supporting 3 million jobs each year. The tourism industry is firmly based within our locality, region and country. In Cardiff itself there are ample opportunities for tourism experiences, ranging from Cardiff Bay to the National Museum of Wales and St Fagans. You will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of tourism in many different contexts.
How will I learn?
You will study inside and outside the classroom. The structure of the course will be based on real life tourism organisations. Visits to different organisations will be an essential part of your learning and assessment. You will develop a range of skills both practical and academic that will help you progress to further study or enter the workplace. The Tourism Level 1 / 2 Award resources will be available on your iPad and you will make notes in your work units. There will be regular homework in order to improve your understanding and to reinforce what you have learned in class. The course will be divided into three units: Customer Experience, the Business of Tourism and Developing the UK as a Destination.
Do I need any equipment?
No special equipment required, apart from your unit, handbook and Chromebook.
How will I be assessed?
Controlled assessment 75% External examination 25%
What is the next step after this course?
You will be able to study Photography at universities and colleges. Following a Photography course at A Level will also enable you to focus on specific areas of interests such as fashion, advertising and much more. Many higher education courses include periods of working within industry to gain experience and make contacts.
