Beth fydda i’n ei ddysgu?
Bydd dysgwyr yn ennill sgiliau arbenigol yn y meysydd canlynol:
FFITIADAU: Bydd myfyrwyr yn dysgu sut i ddefnyddio offer llaw ac offer marcio gwaith er mwyn cynhyrchu cydrannau gyda lefel uchel o fanylder.
GWAITH METEL: Bydd myfyrwyr yn datblygu’r sgiliau angenrheidiol er mwyn cynhyrchu siapau metel syml a chymhleth.
CYDOSODIAD MECANYDDOL: Bydd myfyrwyr yn dysgu sut i osod a chysylltu cydrannau yn gywir gan ddefnyddio dyfeisiau, offer a thechnegau clymu mecanyddol. Byddant yn dysgu sut i wneud gwiriadau gweledol a gweithredol er mwyn cadarnhau bod y cynnyrch terfynol yn cyrraedd y safonau angenrheidiol.
Sut fydda i’n dysgu?
Mae’r cwrs NVQ Peirianneg yn cynnig cyfle i ddysgu am beirianneg drwy ddull ymarferol. Drwy gyflawni cyfres o brosiectau a gynlluniwyd yn ofalus a thaflenni gwaith sy’n datblygu gwybodaeth greiddiol am y pwnc, mae ymgeiswyr yn gallu ennill Cymhwyster Cenedlaethol Galwedigaethol Lefel 1 neu Lefel 2 sydd yn rhoi Sylfaen da iawn er mwyn parhau i astudio cymwysterau Lefel 2 eraill penodol neu gymwysterau Lefel 3 cyffredinol peirianneg. Mae llwyddiant lefel 2 yn y cymhwyster hwn yn cyfateb i ddwy radd B TGAU.
Oes angen offer arnaf fi?
Dim ond eich Chromebook ac offer ysgrifennu arferol, bydd yr Ysgol yn darparu’r offer arbenigol.
Sut fydda i’n cael fy asesu?
Asesir portffolio o dystiolaeth y dysgwyr er mwyn cadarnhau eu dealltwriaeth bynciol yn y meysydd adrannol canlynol:
Gweithio’n ddiogel mewn amgylchedd peirianneg,
Gweithio’n effeithlon ac yn effeithiol mewn peirianneg
Defnyddio a chyfathrebu Gwybodaeth dechnegol,
Cynhyrchu cydrannau gan ddefnyddio offer llaw a thechnegau ffitio,
Cynhyrchu cydrannau metel tenau.
(Lefel 2 yn unig) Ymgymryd â chydosodiadau mecanyddol
Beth yw’r cam nesaf ar ôl y cwrs hwn?
Mae’r cymhwyster a’r profiadau, ac adnabyddwyd gan y diwydiant, hefyd yn gallu bod yn gam tuag at gyflogaeth a gyrfa mewn nifer o feysydd technolegol, gan gynnwys, mecanwaith, trydanol, adeiladwaith, peirianneg forol, amaethyddiaeth, peirianneg mecaneg moduron yn o gystal â’r diwydiant meddygol.
Os ydych yn ystyried astudio gradd peirianneg, yna dylech ganolbwyntio ar TGAU Mathemateg a Gwyddoniaeth ac yna Lefel-A Mathemateg a Ffiseg neu/a Chemeg yn hytrach nag astudio’r cwrs hwn.

What will I learn?
Learners will gain specialist skills in the following areas:
FITTING: Students will learn to use hand tools and marking out tools to manufacture components with a high degree of accuracy.
SHEET METALWORK: Students will learn all the skills necessary to produce both simple and complex shapes in thin sheet metal.
MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY: Students will learn to correctly position and secure components using various mechanical fastening devices, tools and techniques. They will be taught to carry out visual and functional checks to confirm that the finished assembly meets the required standard.
How will I learn?
The NVQ Engineering course offers an opportunity for a practical hands-on approach to engineering education. Through the completion of a series of carefully designed projects and underpinning knowledge worksheets, candidates can gain a Level 1 or a Level 2 National Vocational Qualification which makes a very good basis for continuance and progression into Level 2 specific or Level 3 general engineering qualifications. This qualification, if passed at Level 2, is worth 2 GCSE B grades.
Do I need any equipment?
You will need your Chromebook and usual writing apparatus, the school will provide all specialist apparatus
How will I be assessed?
Learners will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their subject knowledge in the following unit areas:
Working safely in an engineering environment,
Working efficiently and effectively in engineering,
Using and communicating technical information,
Producing components using hand tools and fitting techniques,
Producing sheet metal components and assemblies.
(Level 2 only) Undertaking mechanical assemblies.
What is the next step after this course?
The qualification and experiences, recognised by industry, are also a potential stepping stone to employment and a career in many technological fields, which could include; mechanical, electrical, construction, marine, agricultural and motor vehicle engineering as well as the medical industry.
If you are considering studying for a degree course in engineering, then you should concentrate on GCSE Mathematics and Science and then go on to study A-level Mathematics and Physics and/or Chemistry rather than study this course.
