Mae’r cymhwyster newydd hwn yn gyfuniad o Fathemateg a Rhifedd. Byddi di’n parhau i ddatblygu dy sgiliau cyfrifo a datrys problemau mathemategol. Byddi di’n dangos dealltwriaeth o rif, algebra, geometreg ac ystadegaeth. Byddi di’n datblygu dealltwriaeth gysyniadol, rhuglder a chymhwysedd strategol yn y pwnc. Bydd modd i ti gyfathrebu â symbolau a datblygu sgiliau rhesymu rhesymegol er mwyn dy helpu mewn bywyd y tu hwnt i’r ysgol.
Sut fydda i’n dysgu?
Bydd yr adnoddau ar gyfer y cwrs TGAU Mathemateg i gyd ar dy Google Classroom. Byddi di hefyd yn defnyddio dy Chromebook er mwyn dysgu diffiniadau a fformiwlâu, cyflawni cwisiau rhyngweithiol ac ymarfer cwestiynau arholiad. Bydd gennyt ti waith cartref cyson er mwyn gwella dy sgiliau a rhuglder, yn ogystal â dy hyder a dyfalbarhad.
Oes angen offer arnaf fi?
Cyfrifiannell gwyddonol CASIO (cyfres fx), onglydd, cwmpawd a Chromebook (yn ogystal â chas pensil yn llawn offer arferol).

Uned 1: Mathemateg Ariannol a Chymwysiadau Eraill o Rifedd
Uned 2: Heb gyfrifiannell
Uned 3: Caniateir cyfrifiannell
Mi fydd yn bosib i ti ennill graddau A*-D os yn sefyll arholiadau Haen Uwch, a graddau C-G ar yr Haen Sylfaenol. Nid yw Haen Ganolradd yn bodoli rhagor.
Beth yw’r cam nesaf ar ôl y cwrs hwn?
Bydd TGAU mewn Mathemateg yn dy baratoi a dy gynorthwyo ar gyfer y byd gwaith ac amrywiaeth eang o gyrsiau addysg bellach. Bydd modd i ti barhau i astudio Mathemateg Lefel A os wyt ti’n astudio Haen Uwch TGAU. Bydd hefyd yn dy baratoi ar gyfer amrediad helaeth o gyrsiau Lefel A a phynciau eraill yn y brifysgol.

Mae cymhwyster mewn Mathemateg yn arwain at amrywiaeth eang o swyddi, gyda nifer o gyflogwyr yn edrych am o leiaf gradd ‘C’ mewn Mathemateg. Mae’r sgiliau a ddysgir yn y cwrs hwn yn angenrheidiol ar gyfer pob math o swyddi gan gynnwys yn y sectorau adwerthu, lletygarwch, crefft, peirianneg, addysg a meddygaeth.

What will I learn?
This new qualification is a combination of Mathematics and Numeracy. You will continue to develop your calculation and problem solving skills. You will show an understanding of number, algebra, geometry and statistics. You will develop conceptual understanding, fluency and strategic competence in the subject. You will be able to communicate with symbols and develop logical reasoning skills which will help you in life beyond school.
How will I learn?
The resources for the GCSE Mathematics course will all be on your Google Classroom. You will also use your Chromebook to learn definitions and formulas, complete interactive quizzes and practice exam questions. There will be regular homework to improve your skills and fluency, as well as confidence and perseverance.
Do I need any equipment?
CASIO scientific calculator (series fx), a protractor, compass and Chromebook (as well as a pencil case full of the usual equipment).
How will I be assessed?
Unit 1: Financial Mathematics and Other Applications of Numeracy
Unit 2: Non-Calculator
Unit 3: Calculator-allowed
It will be possible for you to get grades A*-D if you sit the Higher Tier examinations, and grades C-G in Foundation Tier. The Intermediate Tier no longer exists.
What is the next step after this course?
Mathematics GCSE will prepare you for and support you in the world of work and a wide variety of further education courses. It will be possible for you to continue studying A Level Mathematics if you study GCSE Higher Tier. It will also prepare you for a wide range of A Level and University courses in other subjects.
Ideas for jobs ...
A qualification in Mathematics leads to a wide variety of jobs, with many employers looking for at least a Grade 'C' in Mathematics. The skills learned in this course are necessary for all types of jobs in sectors including in retail, hospitality, trade, engineering, education and medicine.
